lowering on 13's

Post by Corsa84 »

if i lower my new corsa 40mm on the standard 13inch steelys whill it rub? im not sure what size the tyes are coz i ant picked the car up yet.in time i will upgrade to 15's and i know they wont rub then, but i was worried if i lower it on the steelys that it might rub due to the fact that it has a higher profile tyre.

cheers!

You should be fine, wheels going small = low low low = :)

Back to helping, rolling on 13's should be fine for you, your car and all offensive speedgrumps. Problems are more likely to occur at 16" - 17" - 18", if that's how you're headed wheel-wise

thanks,i will not be going any bigger than 15's but seen as i have not got any 15's yet i did not want to put my 40mm springs on the standard 13's just in case they rubbed or owt, with them having ''chunkyer'' tyres.

Thanks for the advice tho. :D

yer you will be fine, i drove round for a week on 13's with 185-70-13 tyres and it was dropped 60mm . jus make sure you keep your tyres well pumped up lol. however id recommend gettin upgraded shocks to go with upgraded springs.
