I've just ordered some 3-d tail lights and i want to spray the black plastic outer bit white, whilst i'm at it i might as well do my mirrors too.

What i'd like some help with is how do i achieve a reasonably professional look using a rattle can from halfords?

just make sure that the things you are spraying are well prepared, i.e no mucky finger marks on them, or grease, will react with paint and use plastic primer, then wet and dry (1200) then just paint it in small coats, best if the paints warm, rest the can in hot water for about 2 minutes, basically the longer you take to do it the better the finish....

yeh basically just take ya time..make sure u make sure its smooth and clean in between each layer...decent primer always helps...and just do the paint in thin layers...wait for each layer to be almost dry or even completely dry.once lackered it needs about 24hours to dry in a warm and dry place.
