Ive got a 1.4i and its been over revving at 1500rpm ive changed the Idle valve and the injection sills but still no luck! Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and how they resolved it?! Done the Paperclip test and its flashing as Code 12 so dont think its anything to do with the ECU, any suggestions would be great!

is it a 1.4 8 valve? when you replaced the idle control valve did you reset it first before you put it in? by that i been push the plunger all the way in before you put it in, if not then it wont seal the hole in the throttle body properly and cause it to rev higher than usual, also if its an 8 valvde there is about 8 differnt idle control valves, all slightly different, did you get the correct 1 because i changed mine and it was wrong, didnt even work......

It was my bro that put it in for me and he said hes pretty sure the plunger was pushed in all the way, and yeh it is a 8 valve, we're thinking maybe it the carbaretor, but we're all scratching our heads! My car does nothing but go wrong =[ x

yh mine is an 8v aswell, mine was doing the same, just do what i did, go scrappy and get a throttle body off another 8v corsa and stick that on, it fixed mine and its been fine since, so sure it should your aswell, cheap and easy fix

there aint a carb m8 - its a 1.4i - the i means it uses an injector. just thought id let u know on that one

thats pretty odvious to be honest mate dont have to tell me....a already know

Yeh i know u know but the tc didnt as he sed about it being the carb m8
