Installing a rev counter

My corsa dosent have a rev counter and im gonna install one not where the dials are but an exturnal one. does anyone know how to install one ???

What reg corsa is it?? And whats the reason why you don't want to install one where the dials are?

Reason for asking why you don't want to have it where the dials are, if it's a electric driven version you should find a speedo with rev counter would fit and work straight off, (just make sure you get the correct speedo!! lol)

If your fitting a seperate one from what i can remember reading you have to run a wire to the starter motor.

I have no idea about this one cos im thinking of doing the same thing to mine, i cant live without a rev counter, get the gear change at just the write second, helps in so meny ways!

if the speedo starts at 0 its electronic, if it starts at 10 its mechanical, on a car with a mechanical speedo the wires should already be there for a set of rev counter dials,

even if the wires are not there it only wants a pickup wire off the coilpack or dizzy for the pulse.....

while doin ma digi dash i worked out that the green wire is usually for the rev counter, not sure if its the olny one.

theres a green wire looped on the coil thats your rev counter 8)
