new stereo beeping??????????

hi guys, can anyone help???? i've got 99 reg corsa club and just put a blaupunkt cd player in. Fitted fine and working but it beeps intermittantly over the sound of the music????

my dads one in his chev kalos does that when the news button is on, beeps to tell you there is news on a station then you press one button and it switchs for you. maybe it that on yours?

when it beeps does "TA" flash on if so then its traffic advice you can normally turn it off by holding the TA button

thanks, i'll have a look at it tomorrow, i can't think anything else it might be, i took the cd player out my old p reg corsa and it didn't bleep.
