Please help me.
I have carried out a compression test and have the following results
210psi
150psi
120psi
160psi
extremely varied I know.
Question: what the hell are they meant to be?
I have read my Haynes from front to back and back to front, I have scoured the internet and cannot find any recommended compression readings?
How am I meant to know what's normal etc??!!
As in my previous post my engine is revving erratically as and when it wants!!
Thanks

I'm not sure what the standard is but I would worry if there was such a variation as you have. I would expect them to be within 20psi of each other. Try putting a bit of oil in the bores and test again. If they improve it would point to piston rings.
