URGENT! JAMEX REAR SHOCK ABSORBER!
Posted: Tue Feb 02, 2010 9:06 pm
OK so today ive fitted my new 60mm jamex kit.
it consists off 4 shortened shocks and 4 springs.
Ive fitted the front springs/shocks no probs atall. My concern is that after fitting the rear shocks and springs im worried that ''what if ive not done the REAR shock properly''
What i mean is the rear shock comes with 2 black rubbers and a metal disk and nut on the actual metal shaft that the spring slides over.I did not get any instructions with this kit!?!?
When i fitted the rear shocks i removed the old black rubbers from the standard shocks, which are completely diff to the new black rubbers, then i got my new shock, then i put the bumpstop on,then the dust cover, then the spring, then i put 1 black rubber on from the new kit, then i put the rear shock up into the hole in the rear wheel arch, then once the threaded bit of the shaft was showing through the hole i put the 2nd black rubber on from the new kit, then i put the small metal disk on then finally the top nut.
then i tightend all the nuts and fitted rear wheel i lowered to the ground.
HAVE I FITTED THE BLACK RUBBERS AND SMALL METAL DISK CORRECTLY?OR HAVE I PUT THEM ON WRONG?!they seem to fit ok but coz they are completly diff to the standard rubbers i am paranoid ive done summat wrong lol.
the car drives ok apart from the exaust banging on the underside!any help would be great!
