I fitted some aftermarket front and rear lights and they seem to have water/condensation on the inside. Does anyone know of a way to get the water out of headlights and the best way to prevent it again, thanks.

I think its because there is a broken seal somewhere (letting the water in).

So youll have to take the lense off, get all the water out, then seal it properly again!

Im not entirely sure tho, but this happened to a mate of mine and i think thats what he did.

ok cool, thought there may have been an easier way of sorting it lol

take all bulbs out and dry it with hair dryer but dont melt it haha. gf's dad does that and it works

yes dry it out with a hair dryer,works a treat!

used to have this problem on my mk4 fr
usualy its because the headlamps are sealerd, not because they leak altho if you have a gaping hole in them of course they will fill up!

i solved this by drilling a hole in the rear of the lights so moist air can escape

my one angel lens and gubbins needed cleaning because they were really dirty, let it dry for 2 weeks in house, sealed them up with sealent again and installed them yesterday. after wiring problems i got them sorted but noticed condensation in lens i cleaned. it must have evaporated out now because they arents steamed anymore
