You can have 17x7 with 205/40 tyres. Not a lot of people like them as big as 17's tho. 15 is more usual. 195/50/15

45 profile may cause some rubbing problems but I don't know for sure. Oh, make sure the offset of the wheels is correct for your car, et45-49.

got 195/55r15s on mine and the only problem i have is the rear righ wheel arch rubs wen i hit a dip, thats without it being lowered too. lowered the front 40mm and they are level in the arches

any wider and you will attack the rear bumper imo

in my opinion i think some 16" rims would look better. i have a set of 16's on my corsa and they look pretty sweet.

They probably look chunky because they aren't low profile. What are the specs of the 15's?

Yeah i've considered it...If I keep it I may slap a pikey spring set on it.

Realisitically though, my Corsa is meant to be the practical run about. I have a coilovered Mk1 Golf with a knackered sump and oil pick up sitting outside...

mines a practical run about haha but i dont have any worries with the sump etc on the 195/55/vr15s and lowered on front

and i have to drive across fields often for the old man lol
