Black Corsa SXi

Post by Shezer »

Thought i might aswell make a lil project log on my sxi and things i do to it as im sat here bored :P

i have only got 1 pic of my car when i got it standard and havnt really had the time or money to do anything to it yet, but now im gna start to do some odd bits and bobs :)

Image

my plans are to keep it quite minimal as im not one of these people who will go without claiming mods on my insurance because.. FYI that is foolishness.. :rules: ,
Currently im in the proccess of painting my sxi alloys white 8) which i rekon is gna make it look alot more smart than the previous curbed silver :D .

After this im planning on getting it lowerd, so need to save some pennys for a coilover kit or an uprated kit, depends whether i can decide whether to drop my car 60mm or 40mm
Also maybe some interior mods and some other bits and bobs when i decide what i wna do :)

hey sorry for not replying i havnt been on here in ages, yeh i refurbed my alloys, using lots of time :( .. patience :(... more time :( a cutbrish and drill, and sanding paper :D

start of with a cutbrush which you can get from like B&Q and Focus etc.. and attach it to a drill :-D and lightly go over your alloys and it shud scratch off a good amount of paint.. then using metal sanding paper with the lowest number u can find like 250 or 400 sand that mofo down till its nothing but primer and bare metal :).. then go up to like 600 paper and sand all wheels, then 800.. to like 1000 if u like, just do it till its smoooooth ;)...

once this is complete, wipe your wheels with white spirit :D and then wash them off. (this is important to use white spirit or bucket of hot soapy water as there will be unseen grease) :)

then once your wheels are dry.. use primer.. (grey if your painting your wheels black), (white for white ;) ) and then follow instructions on the back of the can.. LEAVE IT FOR 24 HOURS... and then you can paint :) again follow instructions.. and LEAVE FOR 24HOURS...

and then if you want you can use gloss, up to u.. follow instructions :P

thats basically the jist of it my friend :) gl
