i know its not a corsa so half of you wont be intrested:
had my ibiza fr for a few months now had a chance to get it on a private track too get to grips with it
basics first its a 1.4 tsi (twincharged turbo and supercharged) pumps out 150bhp and 250nm torque mated to a 7 speed audi DSG gearbox
3 modes of driving really, normal, which works like any automatic shifts up and down to save fuel,
sport which well is sporty, sharpens up the throttle responce and gearshift ferocity
and manual ether tiptonic or with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters
handling is spot on not quite as tight as the cupra version but certanly holds the road well, especialy in the corners can deffntly feel the diffrence with a limited slip diff
offical figgures say its 0-60 time is 7.7 seconds but i have had it down to well below 7
my only main gripe with it honestly is it dosnt feel fast, driving along at 70 along and it feels like your doing about 40mph!
oh and the wing mirrors dont fold up when you lock the car, you have to press a button inside the car which is a bit wrong!
anyway as far as mods are concerned
just orderd a boot spoiler:
hopfully will look very nice
and its booked in for a remap next week (like its not fast enough already)
should take it to aprox 195bhp and also will enable the launch control fucntion on the DSG (seat for some reason disable it on the ibiza)
then it will be back to the track see what the top end is like (currently i have had 145mph out of it)
for those who are intrested il let you know what its like after the remap
ciao!
