i wanna get some blacked out angel eyes and i seen i nice set on ebay and that, but i also want the really bright white headlights, what ones am i best off goin for? im after cheap and quality and that dont come in the same sentence so i wanna be in the middle somewhere, any ideas?

Basically xenon bulbs are simple plug and play replacement bulbs for the yellower hallogens. They are the same size and just simply slot in so are 2 min job to sort. They also emit a bright white light which not only has a greater distance and brightness, but also picks up road signs and markings a lot better so they are a lot safer. I got a set of phillips ones which i think were really really good for 20 quid.

HIDS is a seprate 'kit' which fits into the space for your headlight bulbs and is an ultra bright xenon light - much brighter than simple replacement bulbs. These cost a fair bit though (50 quid upwards) and are more complex to fit and require a 'ballast' to be attactched to the engine bay somewhere. This is just what i gather btw, i haven't fully looked into HIDS

Simply unless you have money to burn and want a specific look then ordinary xenons will be fine. Also remember 2 upgrade ur sidelight bulbs as well to xenon or ur white headlight bulbs will be tinted with yellow from your sidelights

the bulb on hid fit in just the same but attached to the bulb is a blck box which has to be mounted some where in the engin bay

HIDs r a bit of a gry area when it comes to beam pattern
hids r ment to be fitted to projector head lights to stop the beam pattern scattering
but there is kits out there that do not need projectors but i think they cost more money

when i got a price for HIDs for my mk5 astra they where 90 pounds

problem with aftermarket hid's is yea you can buy kits that dont need projectors however all HIDs require automatic headlight washers to be road legal.

90pounds for a pair of HIDS is really expensive ,dude.
