its normal corsa suspension so buying parts is not a problem just use the origional car as a base my car is on standard shocks on the front on 60mm springs, shortened shocks on rear on 90mm

hold up, hold up...
1. When was the conversion done...It wasn't done at any specific point. The XE came out before the GSi so the convsion could have been done at any point. Did you not ask when buying it? The conversion is AFTERMARKET, it could have been done by a a local garage, a vauxhall tuning specialist, or an enthusiast .
2. Shockers...They could be anything, suspension is totally unrelated to the engine conversion. Do you not have receipts for any suspension changes? I very much doubt a redtopped GSi hasn't already been lowered.
Go through the history you have with it (receipts etc), they should give a clue to what has been fitted and when.

dont mash your foot to the floor when setting off then lol
1st gear is pretty much same ratio for all F boxes 3.55:1 or 3.58:1
what sized wheels do you have?

concider some bigger wheels or atleast fatter tyres
i would also go for the f20 box tho as the f16 cant take the torque of c20xe (clue is in the gearbox name lol)

standard gsi shock's are 5-mm lower than the standard ls,si,sri ect. as for updgrade ing you dont noe which ones to get obv you pay for what you get so you buy cheep ones the ride/handaling ect will be poo and they wont last.
if you havent got much cash atm mo you could allways just upgrade you springs on the front to bigger poundage 280lb or 300lb and you can have a lower drop with these to. the most common now days to drop a corsa with a c20xe fitted (redtop) is -60mm on the front and -60mm to -90mm on the rear.
im running bilsetin b12's -60mm front and -90mm on the rear on 14'' wheels and no probs.
