Hi all,
I have a 1995 corsa premier 1.2 which has an overheating problem. If I stop in traffic the temperature raises very high and I have to put the heaters on, I have been told this is probably a thermostat problem and that they are a knightmare to remove. Would the heaters still work if the thermostat has gone and is there a way of testing it without removing it? The fan does kick so its definately not a problem from there thanks for looking and hopefully helping me out.

head gasket might of gone

thermostat is a bit of a pain to change as the cambelt has to come off but if you are capable of doing the belt then the thermostatis easy,it sounds like the thermostat isnt opening fully and will get warm.i would put a new one in and replace the belt while you have it off and no you cant test it without taking it out

Lol, you probably just kept revisin from the Haynes Manual

haynes manuals are good for knealing on when the floors cold, learnt most of the stuff i know just by working on my car or other cars
