Just wwanted to know if any! has had their ECU randomly fail on them while driving and how much it costs for a new one - or if you can programme a used one in to the car.
I've been quoted a potential £300 and wanted to see if i'm being mugged off!
Cheers guys.

it happens quite alot on vectras and astra.
from what i can tell its usually a dodgy earth in the ecu and they can be repaired
but then it all depends on whats actually wrong with your ecu

Well the bloke said that the ecu isnt sending a signal to the coils or something and because its not doing that the spark plugs wont spark :/
Tbh it was all jibberish - i know vertually nothing about cars!

Lol! Cheers anyway - can you just plug them straight in like a straight swap or do they need to be re-coded and stuff?

you will need the matching transponder ring and chip from the key from the car you get the bits from as there all coded together
