2l 8v conversion

hi people, im new on here as i was wondering how hard it would be 2 fit a 2l 8v into my 1.2 8v
i was going to get a doner car so i have all the front end but would i have to mess around with changing mounts?????
any help is appreciated!!!

you can buy the correct mounts of the shelf. wiring is about 4 wires. goes in easy.
Have herd of problems with drive shafts, easyer to buy them for the conversion but these can be expensive.
Am a bit dissapointed with the 8v not as quick as I hoped. see how the prices of a 16v compare

now you've said that i think im gonna do the c20xe conversion instead. ive checked the stats on both and the bhp difference is large. if i get a doner car could i use all the frond end such as driveshafts, suspension ect . . and just buy the engine mounts???

breaks you can use
the inner cv joints
and outer cv joints if you get the conversion hubs other wise you need corsa gsi outers.
everything else is different

you cant use the inner cvs unless you buy conversion shafts at nearly £70 each use gsi shafts and mk2 cavalier inners 22 spline or calibra equal lenth shafts have the hubs turned down and move the circlip grooves inwards on the cv joints

do you have a part no. for the mk2 cav inner cv's? I know of people haveing trouble getting these!
