universal air filter ???????

hello all
rite ive brought a induction kit and ive come across a problem there is a red wire from what looks my throttle body to my air box and looks as though it operates the flap inside or sumat if i remove the airbox to place the induction kit what do i do about the red wire and the flap thing ??????????????

just take the red pipe off where it joins on the airbox and stick a bolt in it .ran mine like that for 2 years

ok what if i brought a k&n or pipercross filter for the airbox would i get same sound or will it just be the same?

You get the same sound itll be a little quieter unless youve derestricted your air box but run a air feed from just in front of you rad so you suck inas much cold air as possible
