Hi All.

I'm in the process of pulling together a car for my sister in law's 17th birthday so I thought I'd share some progress....

Car is 1994 Corsa LS 1.4 8V

Image

Brakes were terrible all round so replaced with OE items as engine will remain pretty much stock untill insurance becomes more realistic....

Image

Image

Replaced all 4 shocks and springs with JAMEX shortened and uprated dampers not exactly the best in the world but they do the job, the car sits lower and the ride has not really been affected....

Image

As she wants 'a shiny black car' we've started to prep the car for paint, all being well the car should get painted next week or the week after.

Other bits include
New head unit
Decent speakers
Maybe a revised interior
Smoked rear windows
GSI style rear spoiler

Hopefully it will be a good first car....

omg how can you do it to such a nice colour car!!!!! their isnt many around in this colour :( and i myself believe they're the best mainly because they can be made to look so low and nice if you keep the black trim. Image

I totally agree, if I had my way a bit of work maybe a repray in the original colour and it would be a winner! But as I say its not my car I'm sure though it will look good in the end.

Car is booked in for paint next week and I've started to think about some of the other bits.

I'm getting the wheels painted in a gun metal similar to the colour on my Fiesta below.

Image

Started to think about some sort of subtle graphics/off centre stripes in the same colour? Anyone have any ideas or pics for a bit of inspriation. Like I say nothing too mad but just something to add to the black.

Also WHat about interiors, what do people generally do? Which models had sportier or better interiors than the LS?! What sort of money do they fetch?

calibra leathers are the most preferred/comfy/nicest etc most expensive aswell and the back seats take a bit of modifiying to get them to fit
dunno about cost, a good couple hundred quid for a decent set as a rough guess

other interior is the corsa b sport interior that people seem to love aswell

Thanks for the advice mate! :) The rims on the Fiesta are Sparco can't remember the model name think it is cordoba but can't be sure. The corsa wheels have Joe Sport on them? Never seen them on anything else.... Thanks again. :)

Thanks both, yeah very happy with the results! :D

Still thinking about graphics though, again nothing too out there just something subtle to break up the black?

Any ideas?

Cheers again
John.

Yeah could be right, maybe I could show her a few ideas when she gets it....

Does anyone have any examples? Or even some photoshop skills?

Cheers again
John.

tbh mate youd be better off leaving it black because anything else would just make it look bad, looks amazing the way it is, how much would a respray cost? im looking at gettin mine resprayed just in the original white, you should tint the windows and get a sun strip and just leave it as it is, it would get ruined by puttin graphics on it mate,
