gearbox help (lost gears)

have lost all gears on the car ( well can still put it into 4th and 5th) how do i get them back, ive heard i have to loosen the gear linkages to be able to fix it or sumat?any help appreciated.

sounds to me like the gearlinkage wants re adjusting mate,

look at your gearbox and there will be a plunger with a spring on it, turn the selector fork to the left slightly until the plunger goes inwards, this will lock the geabox off, climb under the car and undo the 13mm pinch bolt on the linkage, then go in the car and pull up the gaitor up on the gearstick, look at the gearstick and there is a small hole on the left, get a screwdriver and push the stick to the left slightly until the screwdriver falls into place, re tighten the pinch bolt on the linkage, then release the plunger on the gearbox by turning the selector fork, then just remove the screwdriver inside the car

and hopefully that should sort your gears out
