Hi all having a few issues :/ i have a w reg 1.0 12v and when im driving the car the temp gauge sits just about 90 like its should, but when its sat ideling the gauge goes to the mark before 100 then the fan kicks in cools back down to 90 then back up again and keeps doing it :/ but goes up slowly tho.

any one have a clue what this could be ?

Many thanks

Matt

the cooling fan on a x10xe 1.0i 12v dosnt kick in till it hits 100degrees, and should shut off again when its below 95degrees
when your car is moving air is flowing thru the radiator, this cooling it down fan dosnt need to come on.
when your idling its not gettin any air thru the radiator so it will get hotter, thats why the fan comes on to blow air thru your radiator.
id say your car sounds fine
