Upgrading clocks

Hi, I'm planning to upgrade my cable driven clocks to some electric clocks with a rev counter.. I've looked on the guide and understood everything but there's one thing missing (or i'm just being blind lol)

It doesn't seem to say that if your clocks were previously cable driven, will electric be a straight swap? Or will I need some sort of gearbox sensor instead of cable?

Many thanks,

can i just say, you can get dash dials with a cable driven speedo and electronic rev counter, because i have got one i put in my car, just check around ebay for corsa dials with a rev counter in aswell, then send them an email asking if they're cable driven or electronic, if they're cable driven then they're the ones you want :) if they're electronic then no they're not the ones you want.

Thanks for the quick reply mate, I've found a fair few on ebay and they were all electric so I assumed all rev counter clocks were electric driven!

Thanks for clearing that up :)

just had a look myself, and if you type in corsa b clocks into the search on ebay a good few come up but dont specify if they're electric or cable so they would be worth sending an email :)

Cheers pricer :)
I was on ebay last night and emailed 8 different guys who had the clocks, every single one was electric driven!! :(
I assume cable driven ones are hard to find lol

P.S, while I'm here I was just wondering, are all Corsa engines injection? IIRC my engine is C12NZ which runs via distributer cap (old style)

yea all corsa engines are injection, be them single point injection or multi point injection, their is only the nova which may have carburettors, well they're not HARD to find, just have to keep looking, a while ago when a mate wanted an electronic set of dials he couldnt find a set, so yerr, ask at your local salvage yard they should have one.

I think I've found a set :D

But before I buy I wanna make sure 100% mine are cable...
They start at 10mph and on the gearbox there's a thick white cable.. So I can safely assume mine are cable driven?

Again, thanks in advance ;)

an easy was is just to look at the back of the clocks, if theirs a huge bit where to plug in a cable then :) and yea pretty sure cable driven start at 10mph, both of my sets start at 10mph.

West London mate :)

lol I would expect you to know then! It's funny because I'm the same with the Citroen ax but when I look at the corsa I'm stumped hehe.
