its happend to me before,was gonna win something for 99p but they cancelled it.not sure if there allowed to do it.

they are not allowed to do it, when u place and item for sale on ebay you enter a contract to sell it to the highest bidder. but you can still end the action early. your not even suppost to put stuff like "i reserve the right to end this auction" or "this item is adverised else where" etc. its against the terms of the contract.

technically if they cancel without a legitimite valid reason and u had the highest bid at the time you should contact ebay and u shud get the item.
