Ok... bit of a long one, but please bare with me.... i need the help!!
I have a 1998 1.2 8v corsa b, bought it 2 weeks ago. last week i took it out for a good run out. on the return leg i got a load of steam from the bonnet from a split hose coming from the collant tank. Got that sorted and discovered it probably happened as the fan wasn't working. After buying a new heater fan switch, and still not getting any joy, i fiddled with a few wires and discovered that there was no earth... got that sorted and now the fan is up and running.
Took the motor out last night for another investigative run and after a steady run of about 3 miles at 40/45 mph i got the engine management light back on. sat stationary for 10 mins until the fan came on so ruled that out.
Tonight had a look at my diagnostic block and it's the 16 pin one. Connected up pins 5 and 6 and turned on ignition lights. Got a very stright forward ****_*** = Fault code 43. however... seems for the 16 pin block you need engine to be running, so i did!! I got a continuous flashing light for about 2 minutes. then i gave it a rev and the codes started coming through... thing is it was different from the original Fault Code 43... altough i ABSOLUTLEY no idea what it was. Went though it again and recorded it. i couldnt make heads or tails of it so i stopped recording after around 3 and a half mins.
please have a look and give your thoughts.... i could really do with an answer or even an opinion. Thanks a million!!!
