jus wondered if any 1 nos wot i can us 2 run my twin 40s on my xe its the later dizzy pack engine

you will need a stand alone ECU programmed to tell the spark plugs when to fire, OR you can go out and buy a distributor and coil etc and convert your engine, therefore you wont need the stand alone ECU, but with using carbs you will have to take it to a garage that can tune webbers and make sure that they are running correctly, (this will cost the most)

your going to want an advancable distributor to run it on carbs, use a 1.6 manta dizzy as thats what everyone else uses, its a vacuum advance unit

i duno mate, but a friend of mine had a stand alone ecu and had it tuned up on a rolling road like what you will have to have done, but his was on a twin turbo Mitsubishi v6 engine to go in an autograss racer and that tuning at a local garage cost about £1000. so its not cheap. so thats why people go to the distributors mostly when running carbs, and then when they get the throttle bodies they go all out and get the stand alone ecu's to go with the fuel injection.
