While fixing the hand brake i notice a crack on the passenger side part of the subframe. Its about 1 cm wide and 12-15cm long in the middle from the stub axle to the pivot joint. Its also paralell to the seam? but about 2 cm away from it. I know that this will cause it to fail its MOT on Tuesday but is it likely that welding it is an alowable/safe fix or must it be a replacement subframe?
Any idea of costs either way as money is very tight at the mo?
Oh and its a 93 diesel if that helps
This hasnt been a great day but atleast my handbrake works lol.
