Re: big engine low insuarance
simple answer: there ain't
hate 2 say it but there aint really many cars out there that dodge insurance groups... focus's are quite high tbh
the only reason u see these kids driving in these nice cars is either their rich mommy and daddies have bought them a car and insurance (or they're using there parents cars) or they've got a job and just payed the insurance. I know one guy with a 320 compact whos bought the car and payed the 5k insurance himself cuz hes on a good wage at his apprenticeship

Re: big engine low insuarance
i got a MK4 Ibiza FR tdi for my 2nd car
went from a 1.0i corsa to a 1.9tdi lol
main reason i did is because they are one of the most powerfull diesel engines under 2liters you can get
i mean they are 130hp and 310nm torque standard and i had mine remapped to 175hp and 390nm for an extra £300
and the best part is: its group 9 insurance
so.... you can get em for about £5500, insurance for 1st year was about £750, + £300 for a remap
say buy one from a francised dealer be about £160 a month for the car... £60 a month for insurance.
you got yourself a 140mph, 175bhp car for just over £200 a month AND it will do 70mpg
a no brainer really why do you think i had one?!
you could also get the skoda fabia VRS they have the same engine... but for me its a skoda so no... lol
and the MK4 Ibiza Sport, again same engine, same 6speed gearbox, same traction control, but dosnt have the sports supention.
the golf GTTDI and MK4 Ibiza Cupra also had the same engine altho golf was tuned to 150hp and cupra to 160hp but these 2 cars are silly to insure!!
again all these cars remapable for a few hundrad quid to around 175-180hp
oh and dont forget. older cars tend to be higher to insure cus of the fact they are a better target for criminals.

Re: big engine low insuarance
but its getting the insuarnce aswell aint it. im 21 with 1 and half of driving behind me belt and last year i tried for a 1.4 exclusiv corsa in black and got rejected. and that was a vauxhall garage. then in feb this year when i had to buy a car as my corsa b was fooked. so i went for a corsa c 1.2 elegance and got finance, i was chuffed at the time but now im in 2minds about the car. nice car in everyway but i just want the edge to most car's. compared to my old car its amazing i mean its got a lil boost at 70mph! tho i'll have to keep it for 3years or till i pay it and go for another car. poo happens eh
