Exhausts and Accelrator!

Post by Craig_471 »

Just a quickie, i had a very nice exhaust system on my car, however, it was illegal and i needed it changed for my MOT . I have a standard peashooter. Very depressing. Im looking to just get a temperary fix for this, does anyone know of a backbox which is made for a Corsa B to make it sound a bit nicer for the time being?

And also, has anyone else got the problem of their accelerator pedal extremley stiff to press down on?

Thanks

Yeah, dont get me wrong, ive gotten used to it, its been like this for about half a year now lol, however it is getting quite annoying!
I have a work company van and the throttle on that is so light its brilliant.. and now its made me realise how bad my corsa actually is and i just want to get it sorted! lol

if u look at th throttle cable behind the engine, there is a U clip. if u pull the throttle cable out of there. and giv it a good lube up. the pedal is definatly a lot better than it was. aint great but it does the job. you can move the u clip back and forward aswell. just dont make it too tight or too loose. i just replaced the throttle cable made a massive difference they aint very expensive and take 5mins to change and for the exhaust i fitted a 3in rolled tip sportex backbox with a racetube sportex centre pipe keeps the car legal and gives it a nice noise and mine pops really loud when changing gears lol
