different manufactuor engine in a corsa? hmmmm

this is a completely random question every1 - just thought id ask it 2 see
basically i know theres tons of vauxhall engines that fit into corsas from omegas vectras cavs and callibres etc but ive never heard of another make engine being used. for example a c20let will fit in but has a limit on its realistic power output. if that would fit couldn't you just get an imprezza engine and drop that in as i know they are good for 500 horses?
i mean, how hard can it be? :p
any thoughts any1?

i really would like to see you put an impreza engine in a corsa ,your biggest problem there is going to be the fact that its a boxer engine and the gearbox is low slung at the back and unless you are going to balance the engine on your front bumper or move the front wheels 2 feet back you will never get a drive train that will ever come close to working ,also the physical size of the engine wont fit in the engine bay

if u can get a 3.2 vauxhall v6 in there in sure u cud squeeze a 2.0 litre scoob engine in it. and yeh i see your point - so basically any normal inline 4 engine could work quite well if u know what your doing?
and yeh ive seen a fair few cars with bike engines like minis and fiat 500s (old ones). that wud be awesome if you could fit a bike engine 2 a corsa - just imagine the acceleration and noise lol

that would be nice to see
then drive shaft where the exhaust went, and then run the exhaust out behind the front wheel or something,

yea but then tho you'l have to make extra space under the car tho to run the drive shaft and the exhaust, where as if you kept it up front with the einge you'd eliminate that problem, but i was thinking about fitting a rover v8, that would fit
you'd have to make a larger gearbox tunnel etc but it should fit

im sure you could make it fit tbf, JUST, i think all the bellhousing and gearbox would be in the cabin with you like
but i have a feeling the length of the engine would just about squeeze in if you put it in through the bottom.
