hey
i was driving my car the otherday and it died and wouldnt start. i left it 10 mins then it started drove to the next village and it died again. i left it another 10 mins and managed to get it home..
i think it could be something to do with the fuel system but have been told it could be a temp sensor
if anyone could think of a reason and what to check please reply cheers

Crank position/speed sensor at the back of the engine, near starter, guaranteed!

Im having this issue along with a few other issues i wanted to fix this spring / summer.
ive been gradualy leaking some oil and coolant, but i keep an eye on them to make sure they are toped up. the oil seems to be leaking due to the crankshaft oil seals needing replaced. this has perhaps had a knock on effect of the crank position sensor over heating etc. if i replace the part tho am i gona keep having trouble untill i replace the oil seals too ?

Il try and locate a part 2mora, might be bit hard on a friday as im gona need it fixed asap. and i think if i order it online id have to wait and i really do need the car asap for work etc. If i cant get a part, do you think i could remove the current one and give it a good clean ? and put it back in as a temp fix ?
Im gona go look up my Haynes manual now was trying to find a guide etc ( i like having as much info as i can before i start )
Cheers for all the advice tho. i asked a mechanic about it this evening, he sugested the water pump or the radiator which might normaly be a good place to start but from advice, research and symptoms the cars doing its gota be the crank sensor.
