How much can i sell this for :)

Hey ive just bought a corsa 1998 5 door 1.4 16v replacing the engine with a c20ne, (2.0 8v coz they are bulletproof!!!), all in all i will be spending around 700-800 quid on fitting it and everything else inc the car !! how much do these go for ... everything will be in good condition with a full year mot and tax !

In all honesty pal, I dont think it will be a major seller with it being a 5 door. You may struggle and I dont think it will be worth as much as it would in a 3 door unfortunatley.

On another note, Does your corsa have an immobiliser? I need an ecu, transponder and a reciever for mine lol

700 and 800 can buy you a 3door corsa with a redtop in it mate it but needing an MOT, so to be honest its not worth the hastle

im doing this to make a profit i will sell it with a full years mot and tax but i think i could make decent money on it specially being twin weber carbs i think i could make a fair bit. i only bought the car and engine for 350 quid...so def worth going for still ?

wudnt bother personally unless you goin to keep it.

one its a 5 door which arent popular amongst young drivers.
two by the time you weigh up all your materials, labour and other costs you wudnt make much profit at all.
three most people that want 2ltr corsa's want to do the work them selves so they can say "i did it ".

any car fanatic will tell you modifing a car doesnt increase its value at all, in fact it decreases it....................

tbh m8 ud probz make more money from getting it thru an mot as a 1.4 corsa and then selling it. probz cud get a grand that way and it shudnt cost 2 much 2 get it thru an mot

exactly what everyones saying..youl never get money back for it, theres people doing them and spending thousands and gettng hardly anything back for them. youd be better of sellin it as a 1.4 with mot and then getting a 3 door and sticking the c20ne in it, i could get a c20ne for mine for £100 with engine gearbox n loom, but he engines got 3 inch hole in the block but easy enough to get a bottom end,

as above really a 1.4 corsa is wortha few quid as i trade and know that i ud sell it 3 times over its what people want are you doing the coversion urself ? if you doing it yourself how will it cost you 7-800 quid if it wo me put 12 months mot on the corsa sell it for 795 and put the engine in a 3 dr nad sell tht get good money for that if done propper
