ecu sockets a&b voltages

Hi Guys. Great site thanks. My daughters 1.2 16v dohc went in to have fault codes read. Two came up - 1510 ctp switch low voltage, and 0505 iac switch low voltage, and it was suggested that its most likely a poor voltage or earth connection to the ecu and to check voltages to pins 35a, 26a, 4a and 37a. there are two sockets to the ecu and I can't find which is the 'A' socket and which is the 'B'. the upper one feeds wires from the sensors on the engine and the lower one comes from presumably the loom. any help please. thanks Gez

I would just try cleaning the earths mate for now until someone can help and check the connections to both switches
hope this helps

cleaned up the earths and now it will start for about a second then cut out. A relay by glove box clicks out(after it stops). swopped relays and that didn't do anything.
before I cleaned earths it at least ran albeit 'hunting'. swopped MAF sensor and idle motor on carb body. no change. any ideas. thanks GEZ

Did you undo the battery when you cleaned all the earths? It could be that you now have an immobilizer problem.
Let us know exactly how you did the earth cleaning, whereabouts as well. Check that you have not disturbed any of the wiring, check all connectors, and as said above leave the ecu as it is, do not try to mess with it, it is very expensive to replace, and is very sensitive.
