My electronic speedo ain't working!!!

Fitted a new head unit which turned out to be fried, I went and got it replaced, but noticed my speedo doesn't work, do I need a new speedo fir my 99 1.2 16v?
Ok, just tried a different speedo head/clicks and no difference, next I'm gonna try a speed sensor that mounts on the gearbox.
Fuse 18 that this circuit is fine, so I'm hopin it's the gearbox sensor!
