Headlights!!

Post by lordyscfc »

Hi people i need some advice please!

I have a corsa b 98 1.4 sport. I wanted to add a bit of style to the headlights by purchasing some new bulbs. It seems every pack of bulbs i put into the headlights does not really make any difference to the style, although i see them on other cars all the time (blueish or bright white lights) and they look really nice. What is the cause of this? i was thinking maybe i need newer style head lamps but then a friend said i didn't need to, but he had no solution to the problem! :( any help and advice would be appreciated as im sick of shelling out on new bulbs!. Cheers.....

p.s the new bulbs i purchased are the Philips extreme power 60/55w which i was recommended to buy , also they state the bulbs are unmissable and add brilliant style???

look into HID kits mate, most new cars come with the fitted.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

niether option is cheap tbh, the xenons cost about £25 per bulb i think and the HID kits are about £60-70

personally i wud save my money and get some depos or angel eyes etc.

yeh i just looked on ebay the kit ive looked at is £60 looks good but im not sure as its a lot of coin for it to not make a difference. I was looking at the angel eyes earlier too around £145 would these make the difference im after as they are a clearer lense or is the hid kit still required?, i had the xenon bulbs in and they were still the usual yellow colour :/

they wud help but its mainly the hids ur after. the problem is mot aftermarket kits are so bright n blue they are illegal for road use so just be careful

i got sum phillips xenon bulbs on mine when i had it aint it did help with the vision a lot, cud see a lot further and cud see raod signs better. HIDs are defo the way forward but cost a bomb 2 get a gd set :)
