Hi guys i have a 94 corsa B which has a high pitched whine coming from the o/s/f wheel when i get to 65 mph, it is not a humming like a worn bearing, but i cant fathom out what it can be.
Any help appreciated guys.
Thanks

I had Very Simlar noise mate i took myn to my local garage and they said they thought it was either front wheel bearings or could be gearbox on way out... i went for cheapest option and had front bearing done and now the noise has gone.. i no what ya mean about ya normally hear a humming or grinding noise but myn was very similar to what you have said about a whining noise around 60 mph i also had it when i slowed down say between 20 and 10 mph.. sorry cant be of more help just thought id tell ya what happened to me.. :)

could be rubbing from the tyres? (at speed yours tyres expand)

wheel bearing, but quite often youll get noise constantly and normally worse when turning corners

gearbox worn and on its way out

not really much else it can be as there are not too many parts around your front wheels that will be turning and making noise at any speed

try driving along and just touch the brakes when its making the noise. if it stops its the pads sticking on the sliders so just clean the sliders with a file x

if it was brakes sticking it would make a noise constantly, try it anyway though, they may be touching at 65mph only ;)
