hi all hope you can help me. i have done the paper clip test because my eml was on and it showed up fault 57 which was idle speed control valve interuption, which would make sense cos the car hunts for revs and is jerky when puttin foot down.
so i changed the valve for a new one but the problem is still there with the same code, i was wonderin if i need the ecu reset to remove fault or is there something else it could be hope you can help many thanks steve

you can try resetting the ecu. just disconnect th battery for 60min

that dont work mate, it doesnt reset the ecu, all you are doing is disconnecting the battery

ok , dont do that then mate:L i knew that. i was just testing him

disconnecting the battery only works with cars without a diagnostic plug mate had to do it on an old porshe was a pain in the arse lol
