Hey guys, the other day while driving my corsa it seemed all the power went from the engine, you'd put your foot down and it'd realllllyy go slow and the revs wouldn’t pick up that quickly, even in neutral.
I managed to get as far as a carpark, only just managed to get it parked, turned the engine off so I could have a look, everything looked okay but it wouldnt start up again afterwards, got towed home by a good friend and started checking parts.
air filter is clean, the fuel filter was the oriognal by the looks of it, but I've changed that to no effect.
the engine will turn over, with the occasional pop from under the bonnet (back firing into the air filter I guess) the cam timing 'looks' okay, the two notches in the cogs line up.
When I did the paper clip test I got firstly CAM SENSOR no singal (perhaps because the engine is not running) and a faulty HEGO heated gas oxygen sensor, I tried starting the car with the MAF and then the lambda unplugged, both caused no difference in the car starting what so ever.
I'm pretty stuck as I'm agoraphobic and my car is my life line right now! any help would be greatly appreciated!
Corsa wont start, done the paperclip test to no help

try a new cam shaft sensor mate, about £30 from vauxhall i think, or free from a scrappy, if u get me
if that dosnt work i'd get a MAF from the scrappy and try that, dont bother goin to vauxhall they want £200+ for one.

OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!
