Car pulling back, back firing etc

Hi every one, well my cars been running like poo latley, its a 1.0 12v w reg, basicaly when the cars in neutral if i put my foot flat down it pulls back and nearly stalls and the exhaust pops and back fires like f**k! when im driving in any gear if i put my foot flat down it pulls back and the engine managment light comes on, if i come off the throttle or change gear the light goes and then if i put my foot down it does it again

I have cleaned throttle body, changed air mas meter, coil pack, not sure what else to do

any help or advice would be so helpfull!

have you tried cleaning the EGR valve? im sure thats the one...

Didnt think to do that.theres a guide on here thinking about it, any one no how to blank it off? With a coke can or some thing

yea just cut a template and put it inplace aswell as a gasket, that might be the problem, because they do coke up pretty well.

Cleaned my EGR valve out with carb cleaner and a tooth brush lol it wasnt that mucky relly only thing i can think it is, is the cat, when i rev it and it pulls back it almost sounds like the baffle is loose in the cat, would this cause the problems im having and the eml to come on?

get under the car when the car is cold as in not been running for a wee while and rattle the cat side to side or whatever and if the baffles are away youl hear it mate, you cleaned spark plugs and checked oil and stuff like that? it might be fuel related some how....

Hi mate, thanks il give that a go later, yeah i changed the spark plugs, havnt changed they oil i have been meaning to do that...same with the fuel filter lol going to use my mates compression tester later aswell
