Silly me

I ripped my brand new tyre off the rim the other day, by being drunk on a camping field and ragging it round.

Got a new tyre yesterday, but woke up this morning and its flat!

Phoned the guy and he said my rim may be cracked or too bent, and said there was a dent in it when i brought it in. How likely is this? just wondering if he is trying to rip me off?

if its just a steel wheel then get a big hammer on the go they bend back well, then just before you blow it up put some silicone around the bead (bend the tyre in and put it between the tyre and the wheel rim as such), thats what we do to our quad bike on the farm and it works well.

All the above, and/or a new tube. It would be a shame to go to all the bother of trying to square up a bent wheel then find the tyre flat the next morning again. If it is an alloy with a bash in it, get yourself one from the scrappy, or run with a steelie, I am sure the car will not mind one little bit.
