Headgasket failure

I will be buying a 1.0 corsa soon and it has suspected headgasket failure , can someone please help with tools etc I will need for headgasket change and a full service

not really sure about the 1.0s but pretty much a full set of sockets and torques, female ones i think not sure but both sets wont go a miss, a breaker bar, rachet, emery paper or scouring pad not sure if you can use it but ive used it before and was perfect so dont see why not, its pretty easy but youl have to use a trolley jack to jack the engine up to take engine mount off to lift the head off, get a haynes manual itl be a step by step guide how to do it

dont forget a torque wrench either to tighten the headbolts to the correct torque.

you say suspected headgasket? it could be the cylinder head that is poorus. take the head off and get a pressure test. if its ok i would pay the little extra and get the head skimmed before a new gasket is on. you dont want to be spending all the time and money on getting the headgasket done for it to just go again. :)
