My First Car - 1.2 8v Project [Photo Heavy]
Project Oblivion
Ok, so i bought this badly bruised 1.2 8v Corsa B about 12 months ago off my mates girlfriend,
It was a Cat C write off and she only wanted £150 for it (6 Months Tax On It Too) so i thought it was a steal with it being my first car.
So my mate decided to borrow me the cash, which i later paid him back, to buy the car.
Later that night i drove it home, whilst running out of petrol on the east lancs and having to be towed by my mates cavalier.
It sat on the road outside my house for about 2 months rotting away because i realised i couldnt afford the insurance,
So i decided to take the front gate off my garden, reverse the car in, and turn it into my little project
Its been sat on the garden now for around 6 months and heres what i've managed to do to it so far:
(Bare in mind im on the dole and have f**k all money to my name)
Oh And Heres A Video Of The Exhaust I Fitted: http://s1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb3 ... xhaust.mp4
To Do:
Get Some f**k To Grind Out And Weld In The New Rear Panel
Get Some Other f**k To Weld A Couple Of Holes In The Drivers Side Sill
Respray Car Matt Black
Re-Do Paint Job On The Alloys
Grab A "Cheap" Irmscher Kit & Grille
Grab A Spoiler
Tint The Windows
Drop The Car Another 40mm
Make & Install A "Fake" Floor Using MDF Then Fill It With I.C.E (The boot will be non existent when i've done with it)
Wish List:
1.6 Turbo From A Corsa VXR (Just To Be Different, Bored Of Seeing All These Bloody Redtops)
Front End From A Vauxhall Tigra
Feedback & Ideas Much Appreciated, Thanks For Looking

Its not actually that expensive now that i think about it, and seeing some of the other projects on here just makes this lot pointless, but ah well... ill plod on with it, oh and as for the insurance/job dilemma, this afternoon i managed to get myself a record deal (after 3 years of waiting for one... yeah im a producer) and managed to get myself a few job interviews for next week, so if all looks up then this should be flying ahead

@bluecorsab: Yeah its a bitch trying to do it all on a budget but its started to come along nicely over the last few days, and the thing with the engine is, my mate came home with a tin of flourescent hi-temp paint so i just decided to go nuts haha, dont worry though its all being sanded/polished again and possibly sprayed black as im planning on purchasing a full white hose set. And as for the alloys, nope haha, took a shed load of convincing for me to get em off me mate's golf. Managed to swap em for my set of multi-spokes gonna be sanding em down to bare metal sometime next week though and re-doing the paint job on em cause they're not perfect.
@rems: Yeah, been told that from a few people actually, got quoted £150 from the bodyshop in town which i think is quite cheap, said he'd be able to sort my sills out too at that price which im buzzing about
Anyways, i'll be throwing some more pics up tomorrow for ya all to have a gander at, been busy today tinkering with the car

yh try building a 2 litre corsa on a budget, not easy and was made harder by the face that i didnt put a xe in it, i put a x20xev in her which not many people had done so made it a bit more difficult, but i like a challange me and for it too come out like it did im amazed, only cost around £600 upto now and it looks really tidy under the bonnet, matty101 will back me up on that
and not good about the wheels i been wanting some of them for ages, will have to keep looking i spose
