Hi i hit a kerb the other day and did my front left wheel in. Since then whenever i turn full lock to the left i hear a banging noise. It sounds like the drive shaft pops out the wheel (that's just what it sounds like) and also the steering wheel pretty much stays in full lock without too much pressure , kind of feels light when in full left lock. Im not sure if the drive shaft is bent ? When i hit the kerb i hit it pretty much bang on my left wheel so im just seeking help if any of u guys know what could of happened? Thanks..

Hi, could be anything from a broken spring to a bent lower arm. best thing to do is check the basics eg play in track rod end, ball joint, bushes, ect, and take it for 4 wheel alingmenmt. hope this helps :)

i have a feeling that what you might have done is bent the bottom ball joint bracket, i did this to mine and that caused it to pull heavily to one side and not turn back, and the banging on tight turns may be that due to the bent bottom ball joint that shaft is scrubbing on the chassis as mine was / did, OR if its a sort of crunching noise and not a banging then you might have damaged your outer CV joint, as you can tell these have gone when you go on full lock it crunches. or it may be both.
