Hi, i\'m looking at getting a new alarm on my motor, i\'ve been looking at the Toad Ai606 alarm & immobiliser on ebay but not sure which i should be getting.
So are what are your opinions Toad or Clifford for up to about £125?
What are the ads and disads of the Toads & Cliffords?
Or are there any other names of alarms which are good too?

hmm, i would personally say clifford but i have had toad alarm and there pretty decent. Although the lock/unlock bleeps sound a bit gay compareed to the flasher bleeps of the clifford.
but for £125, i would say it isn;t that important. both do a good job

For that price i would go with toad alarms, as cliffors alarms you will only get the very basic for £125
toad start cheaper so therfore will get more functions for the money your wanting to pay!
Have only had one alarm which is a clifford concept 650 so can\'t compare the 2 but very pleased with the clifford system

If the alarm you are looking at is a CAT1 alarm, then it will have door, bonnet and boot pins. also for it to be registerd as CAT1, it will also need to battery backed up, so if anyone clips the wires at the siren, then the alarm will still sound.

I juts brought my clifford concept 650 G5, new generation of clifford alarms, O_o wikid, thatchem approved etc... churps when sum1 goes in2 the close perimeter! BUT very exspensive, but other cliffords are just as good!

The clifford has the benefit of more \"bling\" and also i feel offers better \"passive\" security - i.e. it is a better deterrent.
However, i feel that if you are trying to install yourself the toad will be a better bet as it is less sensetive to bad installation.

My clifford\'s lookin like it\'s gonna cost me just short of 600 quid. The 950\'s the best one they had where I took it, comes with tilt sensors, dual sensors, window tamper sensors, blackjax, remote ignition and some other stuff. Gonna be well worth it tho.
