electric windows rubbish??

Hi, well when I bought my car it had electric windows but he thought one had come of its runners and said he'd fix it. I went to pick the car up and he said he took them out as it was like a mecano set someone put in, so he put manuals back in.

So just wondering are all electric window kits crap since the cars are just meant to have manuals? Thanks

SOUNDS LIKE HES SAID A LOAD OF BULL S**T TO ME. IF IT HAD ELECTRIC WINDOW AND ONE FAILED, WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THE OTHER SIDE OUT & PUT MANUALS IN?? PERSONALLY I WOULD REPLACED THE BROKEN 'ELECTRIC' MECHANISEM FOR ANOTHER! MAKES SENCE TO ME.

if you want electric windows go to a scrappy and get them from a corsa tht already has them. u just rivot the new motors in to place and if your luckey just plug the new loom in and fit a switch.

or do what i did

buy electric windows, mirrors and central locking from a scrappie and replace the whole rear loom haha.

what a job that was but did it in a day
