where can i get something like this from?

The problem with just using a RCA splitter is that you can end up with feedback into the non used unit which could potentially damage its outputs.
Without trying to pimp my wares too much, my new brand, Solid Audio makes an in dash eq/splitter and processer that allows you to run 2 sources and match levels etc between them.
It retails at about £170 although i am confident that Mark (justus3) would sort you one out pretty cost effectively - probably about a ton?
If not you need to ensure some way of decoupling the signal to avoid taking out the preamp stage of the \"other\" head unit.....
