Horn sometimes quiet?! :S

Hi guys,
This is a strange one and it puzzles and annoys me- the horn in my car does work but it doesn't sound right sometimes. Sometimes I get a nice standard well, horn sound out of it- loud enough, but then other times it makes what I can only describe as a 'buzzy' kinda sound as if something's loose. When it makes this sound it's also a lot quieter. It passed it's MOT, but it's very temperamental and doesn't always do it so there's every chance it was just having a loud day when it had the MOT.
Basically, has anyone fitted another horn to their car (I know there's a few in Halfrauds for about £15-£30), and with these horns are they easy to wire up? I.e. just connect the wiring to the wiring for the existing horn and bolt it in it's place? If not, does anybody have just a bog standard Vauxhall horn that I can just replace mine with?
Need to get this sorted, it's a tad embarassing when you beep at someone to say hello and the car buzzes...
