need help

hi i am pretty new to corsa's and have a little problem i have a 1998 1.0L corsa b

while i was gettin my sub fitted i removed the ashtray and cigrette lighter to have more room to the back of my cd player and as i removed the ashtray i realised the cigrette lighter was unplugged so when i put it all back together i pluged it back in and then the speedo stopped working so i checked the fueses and the fuse for the speedo and indicators had blown so changed them and they blow again so i unplugged the cigrette lighter and changed the fuses again and then the speedo worked

why is it that the cigrette lighter blows them fuses???

The cigarette lighter might be faulty and short circuiting? maybe a loose part inside it?

so if a replace that it shud b fine if not it got a bigger problem

yeah maybe im not 100% but if its when you plug the socket to the cigarette lighter and it only does it then, then its the only cause I guess.
