Corsa B Exhaust Rubbers

Hi,

Since my car has been lowered, when i've got full load or even two people in the front (depending on weight), the exhaust rattles against the bumper as there really isn't hardly a gap between the two. It's been lowered 60mm.

It's mainly when starting with the clutch in 1st gear and into second, once i pick up speed into 3rd it's not really a problem but would rather have it fixed than the exhaust eventually falling off lol.

Was wondering if you can get longer rubbers for the rear so the exhaust sits lower down? If not, any other solutions?

Thanks.

My car does the same thing, though mine is standard and sitting like a tractor, its probably because from the manifold to the downpipe it might be on a flexi type nut and bolt thing, mine is anyhow, and that gives it the flexability it needs so as it heats up and cools down it doesn't bend and warp, what you could try is either cutting a small hole in the bumper so the exhaust has nothing to hit on, or getting some heat proof rubber and place it beneath the exhaust between that and the bumper, unsure how to secure it mind, just be careful where you put the rubber.

i havn't tried this with mine yet, so i don't know what works, but some stuff that i think might work

hope that helps

most corsa b's the exhaust at back rests on a beam and rattles on that my exhaust did but when i put my de-cat pipe on i found a extra exhaust rubber holder thing so i wedged it between the exhaust and this beam sorted it perfectly it squeeked for a short time after but then stopped.

So when you wedged it between the exhaust, did it not come off eventually? or was it that tight it stayed in?

Thanks

its just stayed in place i cant remember what i used to secure it think i just used some metal wire to hold it in place so it didnt fall off every time i hit a bump.
