New here so thought ide stick this up
Picked up this a few days ago, a 96 3 door corsa vegas, have been looking for a new car for a while to reshell for my current corsa and really like the colour of these vegas's
i picked it up as a bare rolling shell with no engine, no wheels etc
heres how it looked before the previos ownder stripped it
As soon as i got it home i noticed the rear passenger arch was rotted and i literally put a hammer through the inner arch to the inside of the car but apart from that it was solid underneath. first thing i did was get to work on the arch
then undersealed and painted up axel etc
i will be romoving the 1.6 8v mpi engine from my previos corsa and dropping it in this
pics of them both together
removed engine from my green corsa and tidied up the vegas engine bay a little undersealing the main areas before the engine goes in, hard to tell which corsas which due to the snow though
nice brew before starting
pics
green car up in the air ready for engine removal
engine on its way out
undersealed and tidied the new shell up
going to removing all lower arms and painting them hammerite black along with my antiroll bars etc before refitting
the engine transplant is just about finished, it started first turn of the key aswell, going to be putting my bilstien rear shock and springs on tomorrow and undersealing the whole underside of the car, got to fit the exhaust, tax her and shes sweet to go
did more undersealing and painted lower arms with hammerite
Suspension and brakes fitted (they have now been cleaned but forgot to get pics)
engine in
and a few pics of how she stands at the moment( still havnt seen my new car sinse i started properly due to snow though)
From rolling bare shell to built, taxed and moted in a week
