I just used hammerite and put some wheel trims on.

it depends what look your going for.... if u just want them looking okay then hammerite is pefect and easy to use. if u want them looking like a set of alloys u'll need to go thru the same process as spraying rims - clean them up, sand them down, primer them, paint them the colour u want then finally lacquer (i know its spelt wrong lol)
