FLI Component speakers wiring question

hi all!
i got my new component speakers off ebay this morning and i have a quick question about wiring them up
Can they be wired directly into the head unit or do they HAVE to go to an amp as the manual shows?
heres a (BASIC!) pic of how the setup ofthe speakers are as of now
i have a BEATAUDIO Head Unit by the way with 3 pre outs, just hope it can be done without the need for an AMP
heard somewhere you could just pull the old ones out and wire the new speakers to the exisitng wiring?! not sure though

urm hard to say, send us a link to your speakers you just bought? because component ones consist of two speakers a mid and a high and this is why you need the crossover, its not really an amp its more of a splitter, but post us a link,

FLI COMP 6
ive got the adapter rings needed to fit it to the actaul door but i may need some adapter for the wiring itself from the existing wiring to the new speaker wiring

ah right, well... not sure if you'v noticed but if you have just bought normal corsa speaker adaptor rings from say halfords or something, these are to fit OTHER 13cm speakers to the doors, and those speakers are 17mm so probably wont fit, measure your adaptor ring if you have it on you, and it doesnt say anything about having a crossover but i would expect it to come with one, if it doesnt then you might just have to wire them up and see what it sounds like, you will probably have to make sure you change your standard corsa tweeter otherwise you might find the sound a bit muffled possibly. but dunno its a bit hard to say you'l have to wait till they'v been delivered im affraid

i have the actual speakers now brand new boxed, just waiting on the adapters

ahh thats alright then
on and to answer your other question you dont need to run it through an amp, on that crossover you will have 6 connectors, two will be for your mids, two for your highs and two for your input eg the wires that used to go to your door speaker. oh and you might find you'l have to mount your crossover in your door pocket or if it will flat in the bottom of your door cage, as im not sure if you'l have enough space inside the door to mount it vertically for your window to go down else

yep thats right. its got 2 connectors for the speaker, 2 for the tweeter and 2 for input
these input wires are where my original speaker wires will go into then (with the wire adapters used i get with the adapter rings of course!) ?
no need for an amp just yet either then!

yea thats where to plug the wires into, and nahh you dont need an amp mate, that would be a right pain anyway to install having to try and run wires into your door

got hold of some wiring adapters now! they are on the way
i will be able to plug the speakers directly into these adapters, however i will not be able to use the wiring with the inline crossover that was supplied or the tweeters without an amp
this is becuase the speaker wire from the inlne crossover is just bare with no spade connectors on the end of them
il have to get a picture for you

most diy shops or I think halfords sell the spades that you can just crimp onto bare wire. piece of Piss! or if your having trouble just take it to halfords and have some spotty teenager do it for you.

after much staring at the wiring and what not ive got it sorted wiv the forums help!
Basically the existing loom in the door will go into the wiring adapters. The adapters have 2 spade connectors on the end of them, this is where the comp speaker wire will connect with the corresponding spade connectors crimped on to them. This speaker wire goes into the inline crossover box provided with the speakers.
Then its jst a matter of the crossover box connecting to the speaker and the tweeter and the jobs done! No amp required!
Banging them all in first thing tomorrow! Will post pics up asap.
